The rod end joint bearing is a joint bearing equipped with rod end or mounted on the rod end, it belongs to a class of joint bearing.
Joint bearing is a spherical plain bearing, and is basically made up of an inner ring and outer ring with spherical sliding contact surface. Joint bearing is mainly composed of an inner ring with spherical outer surface and an outer ring with spherical inner ring, and can bear a large load. According to different types and structures, the rod end joint bearing can bear a radial load, axial load or both radial and axial loads. Because the spherical outer surface of the inner ring is embedded with composite material, the bearing can generate self-lubrication at work. It is commonly used in low speed swing motion, and can also be tilted to move within a certain angle; where the nonconcentricity of the supporting shaft and shaft shell hole is big, the bearing can still work normally. Because the spherical sliding contact area of the joint bearing is large and the angle of inclination is large, and also because special processing methods are adopted for most of the joint bearings, such as surface phosphating, galvanization, chrome plating, or outside sliding surface lining, padding and spraying, the joint bearing has a big load capacity and impact resistance, and the characteristics including corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-aligning, good lubrication and self-lubricating with no lubricating dirt, which can also work normally even if it is incorrectly installed.
