Where the press is missing or unusable, the stainless steel rod end bearing can be mounted with a fitting sleeve and a small hammer. The hammering force should be transmitted evenly to the entire circumference of the end face of the end rod joint bearing ring, so the hammered end face of the assembly casing should be made spherical.
The force required to install a stainless steel rod end bearing is related to the size of the joint bearing and the amount of interference. For medium or large joint bearings with large interference, the method of hot charging is commonly used. Before hot loading, put the end rod joint bearing or the separable joint bearing ring into the fuel tank or special heater and heat evenly to 80-100 °C, not more than 100 °C.
When the stainless steel rod end bearing is removed from the heating tank or heater, immediately wipe off the oil and attachment on the surface of the joint bearing with a clean cloth, and then place it in front of the mating surface to push the joint bearing in one operation. Hold the shoulders. Always tighten during the cooling process or tap the joint bearing with a small hammer through the fitting sleeve to make it tight.
When the outer ring of the stainless steel rod end bearing and the housing hole are tightly fitted, the housing can be heated and then loaded into the joint bearing. In particular, the joint bearing of light metal material may cause damage to the mating surface due to the pressing of the outer ring during the tight fitting process. In this case, the end rod joint bearing should be heated first.
