Introduction of Type Codes of Spherical Bearings

A spherical plain bearing is a sliding bearing whose sliding contact surface is spherical, which is composed of an outer spherical inner ring and an inner spherical outer ring. Spherical bearings are mainly suitable for sliding bearings of swing motion, tilt motion and low-speed rotation motion. The articulated bearings are mainly angular contact articulated bearings, thrust articulated bearings, radial articulated bearings, and stalk-end articulated bearings. The classification of articulated bearings is mainly distinguished according to the direction of the load it can bear, the nominal contact angle and the type of structure.


GE ... E Single outer ring without lubrication groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GE ... ES single-slot outer ring with lubrication groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GE ... ES-2RS single-slot outer ring with lubrication grooves and seals on both sides. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GEEW… ES-2RS single-slot outer ring with lubrication grooves and seals on both sides. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GE ... ESN single-slot outer ring with lubricating oil groove and outer ring with stop groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction. However, when the axial load is borne by the stop ring, its ability to withstand the axial load is reduced.


GE… XSN type double-slit outer ring (split outer ring), with lubricating oil groove, and outer ring with stop groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction. However, when the axial load is borne by the stop ring, its ability to withstand the axial load is reduced.


GE ... HS type The inner ring has a lubricating oil groove, and the double outer half, the clearance can be adjusted after wear. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GE… DE1 type The inner ring is hardened bearing steel and the outer ring is bearing steel. It is extruded during assembly of the inner ring and has lubricating oil grooves and oil holes. Bearings with an inner diameter of less than 15mm have no lubricating grooves and oil holes. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GE… DEM1 type The inner ring is hardened bearing steel and the outer ring is bearing steel. It is extruded during assembly of the inner ring. After the bearing is installed in the bearing housing, the end groove is pressed out on the outer ring to fix the bearing axially. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.


GE ... DS outer ring has mounting groove and lubrication groove. Limited to large size bearings. Able to bear radial load and small axial load in any direction (one side of the mounting groove cannot bear axial load).


GAC… S type The inner and outer rings are hardened bearing steel, and the outer ring has oil grooves and oil holes. Can withstand radial load and axial (joint) load in one direction.


GX ... S Shaft and seat rings are hardened bearing steel; the seat rings have oil grooves and oil holes. Able to withstand axial load or combined load in one direction (in this case, the radial load value should not be greater than 0.5 times the axial load value).
