The joint bearing is a spherical plain bearing, which is mainly composed of an outer ring of an outer spherical surface and an outer ring of an inner spherical surface. Depending on the type and structure, it can withstand radial loads, axial loads or combined loads of radial and axial forces. Because the spherical bearing sliding contact surface of the joint bearing is large, the inclination angle is large, and most of the joint bearing parts adopt special processing methods, such as surface phosphating, galvanizing, chrome plating or outer sliding surface lining, inserting, spraying, etc. It has large load capacity and impact resistance, and has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-aligning, good lubrication or self-lubricating anti-fouling. It is not only misplaced but also works normally. Therefore, it is widely used for low-speed oscillating motions, tilting motions, and rotational motions.
The main structural types are:
1) Radial spherical plain bearings
The inner and outer rings of the single-slit outer ring radial joint bearing have a large sliding contact surface, and thus have a large load capacity, and can withstand radial load and axial load in any direction. These bearings have good lubrication, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
2) Angular contact spherical plain bearings
Angular contact spherical plain bearings can withstand radial loads and axial loads in either direction, or radial and axial combined loads, whose axial load carrying capacity increases as the contact angle increases. It has good lubricating properties and its inner and outer rings can be separated.
3) Thrust joint bearing
The thrust joint bearing can bear axial load in one direction, or combined radial and axial load, and its axial bearing capacity increases with the contact angle. When the contact angle is equal to 90~, it can withstand the pure axial direction. The load, seat and shaft ring can be separated and the lubrication performance is good.
4) Rod end joint bearing
Rod end joint bearings can withstand radial loads and axial loads in either direction less than or equal to 0.2C. The rod end body is a threaded extension rod, and the thread has inner and outer and left and right rotation points. It is composed of a radial joint bearing and a rod end body, and has the advantages of large load capacity, convenient assembly and disassembly, and simplified host structure. It is widely used in the operation and transmission mechanism of various construction machinery and vehicles, and is an important mechanical basic accessory. When selecting, it is necessary to recognize whether it is an internal thread or an external thread, whether it is left-handed or right-handed (the right-handed rotation is not marked).
5) Self-lubricating joint bearing
The sliding contact surface of the outer ring of self-lubricating joint bearing is lined with self-lubricating material. It does not need to add lubricant during work. It has the characteristics of no lubrication and dirt pollution. It is especially suitable for the limitation of installation position, the inability to add lubricant or the lubrication during work. The environment in which things are polluted. This type is mainly used for large radars, smelting equipment, mining, water conservancy equipment, astronomical telescopes and satellite communication ground stations.
