1. In the absence or inability to use the press, the end rod joint bearing can be installed with the assembly sleeve and the small hammer. The hammering force should be transmitted evenly to the entire circumference of the end face of the end rod joint bearing ring, so the hammered end face of the assembly casing should be made spherical.
2. The force required to install the end rod joint bearing is related to the size of the joint bearing and the amount of interference. For medium or large joint bearings with large interference, the method is hot. Before hot loading, put the end rod joint bearing or the separable joint bearing ring into the fuel tank or special heater and heat evenly to 80-100 °C, not more than 100 °C.
3. Hot-fit joint bearings require skilled operation skills. When the joint bearing is removed from the heating tank or heater, immediately wipe off the oil and attachments on the surface of the joint bearing with a clean cloth (note that cotton yarn cannot be used), and then put it in front of the mating surface, in one operation. The joint bearing is pushed to the position against the shoulder. Always tighten during the cooling process or tap the joint bearing with a small hammer through the fitting sleeve to make it tight. When installing the end rod joint bearing, the joint bearing should be slightly rotated to avoid the installation from tipping or jamming.
4. When the outer ring of the end rod joint bearing and the housing hole are tightly fitted, the housing can be heated and then loaded into the joint bearing. In particular, the joint bearing of light metal material may cause damage to the mating surface due to the pressing of the outer ring during the tight fitting process. In this case, the end rod joint bearing should be heated first.
